Spring Has Taken Over – There’s a moment every year when spring stops being an idea and becomes… a full-blown situation.
It doesn’t arrive gently.
It shows up all at once—like someone flung open every door and window and said, “Alright, let’s go.”
And suddenly:
- The garden needs planting
- The animals need tending
- The fences need fixing
- The house… well… the house starts to look like it’s been politely neglected
And just like that, everything shifts.
Spring Has Taken Over – The Quiet Season Is Over
Winter gives us space.
Spring takes it back.
The slower mornings, the extra coffee, the time to think—all of it gets traded in for movement. Constant movement.
You don’t ease into spring on a farm.
You step into it and hope your boots are nearby.
Spring Has Taken Over – Everything Needs You at Once
The garden doesn’t wait.
Seeds don’t care if you’re tired. The soil doesn’t care if you feel ready. The weather gives you a window, and you either step through it or miss it.
There’s a rhythm to it, but it’s not a gentle one.
It’s:
- “Get it done while you can”
- “We’ll rest later”
- “Where did I leave my gloves?”
And somehow, in the middle of it all, the days start to feel full in a way winter never could.
Spring Has Taken Over – The House Slips (And That’s Okay)
This is the part no one really talks about.
When life moves outside, the house doesn’t keep up.
Laundry piles up faster than you can fold it. Dirt finds its way in no matter how many times you sweep. Meals get simpler. Corners get ignored.
And for a little while, things feel… just slightly undone.
But here’s the truth:
This is not failure.
This is seasonal living.
You cannot run a farm, grow food, care for animals, raise a family, and keep a perfectly pristine home all at the same time.
Something has to give.
In spring, it’s usually the house.
Spring Has Taken Over – Letting Go of Perfect
There’s a quiet kind of freedom in accepting that this season isn’t meant to look polished.
It’s meant to look lived in.
Messy means:
- Work is being done
- Food is being grown
- Life is happening
And when you start to see it that way, the pressure eases just enough to breathe again.
Spring Has Taken Over – The Beauty in the Chaos
Because even in the middle of all this…
There’s something good.
It’s in:
- The first rows of green pushing through the soil
- The sound of boots on the porch at the end of the day
- The kind of tired that comes from doing something that matters
Spring is not calm.
It’s not neat.
But it is full of purpose.
And maybe that’s better.
