Outdoor Christmas Decoration – Front Porch
I love Christmas! Every aspect of it! For me, the Christmas Decor really sets the tone and atmosphere for all of the Holly Jolly! Of course, there is the obvious Christmas Tree and Interior Decorating that we do, but you can’t neglect the outside! Outdoor Christmas Decoration marks the entrance to all of the seasonal joy!
There are so many ways to approach your outdoor Christmas decoration and you can do however much or little that you prefer. Maybe you enjoy a more minimalist approach to decorating or maybe (like me) you like to go all out…. or maybe you fall somewhere in between. Whichever you prefer, take it and run!
I have compiled below, an array of various outdoor Christmas decoration ideas for the front porch. Maybe you will find the idea the really sparks your theme for the season. I have also compiled a host of Christmas decor options that may be the perfect item to pull your plan together.
A Range of Options
From garlands to wreathes to trees and so much more, there are so many options to help you design your holiday dreamscape. Personally, I like to have a central theme that I work with in order to keep everything pulled together cohesively. I love seeing a cohesive decorating theme.
Clusters of trees, groupings of ornaments or bows, stacks of wrapped boxes or just a particular color flowing throughout; theme makes a difference in the potential impact of all of your decor, to include you outdoor Christmas decoration.
Wreathes are a traditional favorite and can lend themselves to so many different themes. They are so versatile that they can be used in so many ways and places; attached to the front door, hanging in front of windows, even put together in a planter as a sort of topiary. Wreathes are beautiful and evoke a traditional feel.

Garlands
Garlands are also a traditional element for indoor and outdoor Christmas decoration. They can be very minimalistic or be dressed up with all manner of extras. Draped over a doorway, around a post or down a banister, garlands lend themselves very well to creating a beautiful scene.
