Christmas Season Brings Christmas Candy
You may have recently seen my collection of Christmas Cookies. If not, check it out, they will be worth your time! However, now it is time to talk Christmas Candy!
Who doesn’t love Christmas Candy?
I mean we certainly nibble on candy throughout the year, but there are those special candies that only seem to come out during the Christmas Season, and that, of course, makes them that much more special! Everyone has their favorites and we all look forward to them more and more as the season approaches.
We have compiled a collection of Christmas Candy recipes that will suit most needs. Some are old fashioned favorites, some are newer recipes that really hit the mark. Some are super quick and easy to make and some are a little more involved.
The points that pull them all together are the making of the candy and the yum at the end! So, grab your family and friends, pull out the aprons, choose a recipe and have some fun! My family’s favorite Christmas Candy recipe can be found below as well.
Make Your Time Count
Just like with Christmas Cookies, making Christmas Candy can be a terrific opportunity for quality family time. There are jobs for everyone to do. You could put little ones on stirring or pouring in ingredients. Measuring is also a great job for kids and if you are doubling your recipes you can teach them a little math, fractions, etc.
Turn off your phones and turn on the Christmas music and make something yummy. Take this opportunity to truly enjoy the time with your family and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Another Great Reason for Christmas Candy
As if the Christmas Candy itself wasn’t reason enough, here’s another. Homemade treats make wonderful and thoughtful Christmas gifts; hostess gifts for holiday parties, gifts for coworkers, friends and neighbors, and anyone else on whom you would like to bestow some special holiday wishes.
You can package your homemade goodies in a Christmas treat box, top it with ribbon and a handwritten note. That is one delicious way to send your Christmas greetings.
For as long as I can remember, the fave around our family has been Martha Washington Candy. My grandmother made it every year and more recently my mom has taken up that mantle… I guess its my turn to pick it up.
